Sketch. is an award winning architecture studio founded by John Nolan in Dublin in 2015. Our work is shaped by the interplay of life, light and landscape, and develops through drawing, modelling, making and conversation.

We are concerned with how buildings support everyday rituals, how they root themselves in place, and how material and detail carry atmosphere over time. Projects range across residential, civic and cultural contexts, with recent recognition from the RIAI, AAI, IDI and RHA.

Alongside practice, we contribute to teaching and discourse in architecture, sustaining a close connection between speculation, representation and built work. What matters most to us are the relationships we form with clients, contractors and makers, and the collaborative process that allows ideas to grow from first sketch to final build.
